Responsibilities:
Major responsibilities of the analyst will include:
Analyze federal regulatory proposals to assess greenhouse gas reduction potential;
Engage states regarding federal regulatory developments;
Examine opportunities for greenhouse gas abatement at the state and federal levels;
Provide background research and administrative support for various groups convened by WRI to discuss topical climate policy issues; and,
Provide support related to fundraising and project management.
The successful candidate may also provide research support to other program objectives, including analysis of industrial efficiency opportunities and legislation proposed by the U.S. Congress.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree and two years experience in a relevant field, or a masters or law degree.
Strong quantitative, analytical, and research skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work well in a team, juggle multiple priorities, and work under tight deadlines.
