Job Description

Our Energy division is a leading provider of low carbon consultancy and renewable energy services within the UK. We provide a range of services to large UK private and public sector clients including advice on energy efficiency and carbon management to the design and implementation of on-site energy reduction technologies, metering services, and renewable heat/power generation.
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, experienced Consultants to provide advice and guidance on low carbon power generation projects including wind, hydro, CHP and biomass as well as on bio-fuels.
Opportunities exist in Leeds, Oxford and Birmingham.

Duties & Responsibilities

The role will typically include:
  • Conducting project feasibility studies
  • Identifying potential emissions savings
  • Evaluating investment opportunities
  • Providing technical and commercial support to operating schemes
  • Advising on renewable options in line with government targets
  • Identifying potential clients, discussing needs and preparing bid documents
  • Negotiating contractual terms and conditions with prospective clients
  • Interact with other members of the Energy team and external clients at all levels

Requirements

  • MSc in an Energy, Environmental or related field
  • A keen interest in energy markets and related environmental legislation
  • Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external clients
  • Confident with an ability to assimilate within a team and maintain/develop the business
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Ability to absorb varied sources of information
  • Competent in all Microsoft applications
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive outlook and approachable manner
  • Ability to be flexible and to be able to multi-task and prioritise when necessary
  • High level of energy with lots of drive and enthusiasm
  • Candidates may be expected to attain an appropriate level of UK security clearance
  • Leeds/Oxford/Birmingham based or be willing to relocate
