Our eco-friendly business is seeking an enthusiastic self-starter to work as a Renewable Fuels Analyst.  The Renewable Fuel Analyst is responsible for supporting the adoption and growth of biofuels at Mansfield; the position should focus on meeting current renewable needs while also developing new markets and relationships to attain the company’s biofuel goals.

 

 The Renewable Fuel Analyst is responsible for supporting the adoption and growth of biofuels at Mansfield; the position should focus on meeting current renewable needs while also developing new markets and relationships to attain the company’s biofuel goals. Additionally, the Renewable Fuels Analyst should monitor current renewable fuel trends and act as the internal expert on market conditions, government policy, and industry developments.

 
Core Responsibilities     
 
Renewable Fuels Support
  • Renewable fuel procurement and market development. Identify new supplier relationships and prospects while also working in conjunction with sales to develop strategic markets for Mansfield and customer needs
  • Initiate and explore opportunities with next generation fuel producers to provide new fuel options to Mansfield’s energy portfolio
  • Provide ad hoc assistance to Mansfield renewable partners, including coordinating and forecasting physical supply and facilitating sales as needed
  • Write weekly biofuels article for the Mansfield FuelsNews on pertinent industry topics
  • Maintain and initiate certifications and memberships with applicable renewable fuel entities
  • Travel to industry conferences and counterparty visits as needed
 
Renewable Identification Number Oversight
  • Mitigate market related risk across companywide RIN positions
  • Act as internal liaison to customers and frontline staff on all RIN topics, including managing an internal RIN price offered to the sales and government group
  • Create ad hoc RIN reporting as needed or requested by management

Renewable Fuels Purchasing for MRE

  • Purchase renewable fuel to support Mansfield Renewable Energy (MRE) sales team. This includes understanding sales side nuances (local market conditions, customer demands, etc), identifying appropriate suppliers, and exploring attractive pricing mechanisms
  • Supplier Maintenance: ensure suppliers are meeting contractual demands and performing to our – and our customer’s – expectations
  • Develop understanding of hedging strategies and how to apply these to MRE business. Act as backup on hedging as needed
  
Renewable Fuels Purchasing for Internal Mansfield Demand
  • Purchase biofuels for Mansfield inventory positions. Interpret changing demand and balance inventories as necessary
  • Assist with purchasing for government bids and contracts as necessary. Support these accounts through bulk contracts or identifying unique supply opportunities

Work to negotiate improved renewable fuel rack pricing as warrantedurrent renewable fuel trends and act as the internal expert on market conditions, government policy, and industry developments.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Three year or more of fuels analyst experience
  • Advanced computer skills and system skills
