  Responsibilities
Provide leadership, technical expertise and direction on unusually complex renewable energy problems with little or no precedence, using specialized techniques to provide solutions which are highly innovative.  Independently plan; prepare proposals, and direct state-of the-art technical research and development activities in Hydropower, Wind, Geothermal and Power Systems Integration technologies.  Serve as a Relationship Manager with the DOE-EERE Wind & Hydropower Technologies Program.  Be an integral part of the INL Hydropower  and Wind Powering America and teams. 
Perform the following functions and activities:
-  Select and develops technical approach to assignment.
-  Solve unusual problems related to power generation and transmission.
-  Prepare publications as a primary author or contributor
-  Prepare and deliver presentations at national and international meetings
-  Advance state of the art technologies and concepts
-  Develop information, which extends the existing boundaries of knowledge in the field of
    power generation and distribution
-  Determine and approves technical approaches for solving client problems at a national level
-  Manage scope, schedule and budget for assigned projects
-  Mentor and develop engineering staff
-  Contribute to the development of new capabilities within the division
-  Contribute to scientific and technical products such as patents and software
-  Apply and interpret standard theories, principles, methods, concepts, tools, and technologies
   associated with electrical power generation from renewable power sources. 
-  Evaluate the effects of innovative concepts and components on power generation costs.
   Make preliminary selections and adaptations of technical alternatives.
