ICF’s Energy & Resources practice offers results and solutions to a broad range of clients in the energy industry in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. We have advised both private and public sector clients in all facets of the energy industry for more than 30 years.
To support our growth, we seek a Renewable Energy Manager to participate in ICF’s programmatic support to utilities and state agencies sponsoring renewable energy programs. The successful candidate will lead our efforts on one or more programs that include Solar PV and hot water, distributed wind, and small-scale hydro (and potentially other Renewable Energy technologies) in residential, commercial and industrial facilities.
Programmatic tasks include program design, recruiting program participants, account management, developing and implementing sales strategies, preparing and delivering persuasive presentations, relationship building activities with developers, builders, manufacturers and installers, client communications, review of installed projects, tracking incentives, analyzing cost-effectiveness, and ongoing review of new technology and programmatic options.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or the sciences is preferred, but other degrees are acceptable required plus 8-10 years of demonstrated experience with renewable energy issues at the management level.
- Requires excellent oral and written communication skills; strong analytical skills; demonstrated attention to detail; computer proficiency; and ability to work on multiple and/or a variety of projects.
- Program design, client relationship management, program reporting, staff management, budget management, business development.
- Familiarity with and experience in other utility or government-sponsored DSM, energy efficiency or renewable energy programs.
- Internet research skills, MS Office and Excel knowledge, ability to multi-task, strong organizational skills, experience working with the general public, ability to learn and master new material quickly, work independently, and demonstrate initiative with some direction, and contribute as a team player.
