Owing to continued growth and high demand for its services, the company is now seeking to recruit a suitable candidate to join the Irish Office in our expanding group based in Dublin.

Job description

  • Reports directly to office manager
  • Conducting detailed due diligence on Irish renewable energy projects on behalf of major project finance banks, investors and utilities
  • Manage project teams of multi-discipline specialists to strict deadlines for exacting clients
  • Support the head office and international offices on renewable energy projects when required
  • Assist with the delivery of multi-disciplinary technical advisor projects to time, budget and client satisfaction
  • Co-ordination of renewable energy consulting projects during development and construction in Ireland and overseas
  • Conducting project site visits in Ireland and overseas
  • Reporting on projects internally and to clients
  • Reviewing reports and other work
  • Supporting business development activities such as preparing project proposals and meeting potential clients
  • Representing the company at major conferences and seminars.

Essential criteria

  • A relevant engineering degree
  • Appropriate postgraduate experience and a proven track record in project engineering
  • The ability to produce and review high quality reports to predefined deadlines
  • The role is client facing and so must be a confident communicator with smart appearance
  • Applicants must demonstrate a high level of problem solving ability and initiative
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work
  • Attention to detail, reliability and good organisational skills are paramount
  • Driving licence valid for use in Ireland
  • Strong IT skills particularly in MS Word and Excel
  • An interest in renewable energy and sustainability
  • Experience of working on multiple concurrent projects.

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of renewable energy industry
  • Strong commercial skills
  • Experience of high value contract management
  • Management of site contractors preferably in the energy sector
  • Knowledge of project management techniques including program/cost/risk management
  • Willingness to travel in Ireland and internationally.

Hours: 37 hours per week. Occasional weekends or evenings for travel or meetings
Holidays: 23 days and nine public holidays
Contract: Permanent after three month probationary period
