We are seeking an energetic, professional and detail-oriented individual to lead our renewable energy and energy efficiency community outreach work in the Eugene-metro area. The ideal candidate will have: • Natural leadership qualities and a readiness to lead by example. • The ability to keep staff motivated, engaged, and excited to do good (though often difficult) work, with genuine enthusiasm and dedication to the environment, energy efficiency, and the company mission. • The ability to maintain the highest level of integrity and customer service in all aspects of the position.
This is a 20 hour/week position including weekend and evening hours. Time will be split between a home office and working in the field with Outreach Associates across the Eugene metro area.
Home office phone and internet reimbursements are provided. Access to a reliable personal vehicle is required.
Duties:
DUTIES • Coordinate and participate in outreach efforts for door-to-door residential campaigns and events • Hire, mentor, train and manage a team of 3-5 part-time Outreach Associates while meeting high personal performance standards • Work closely with a Senior Outreach Coordinator to collaborate on staff development, training opportunities and best practices • Manage a budget for personnel and other outreach costs • Acquire and maintain a deep familiarity with renewable energy and energy efficiency home audits • Accurately describe energy programs to customers • Maintain knowledge of the people, culture, events, and social/political pulse of the Eugene metro area • Participate in general company activities, including team and company-wide meetings • General office management and administrative tasks
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS • Dedication to sustainability and interest in energy efficiency and renewable energy • Sales instincts and drive • Experience in outreach, sales, community organizing or other related fields • Experience in training and managing teams • Outgoing personality • Willingness to initiate customer interactions and train staff to do the same • Excellent organizational skills • Fluency in Google Apps • Ability to work independently • Excellent communication skills • Employee must be able to carry up to 50 lbs, set up at events and walk or stand up to 5 hours at a time in unpredictable weather • Ability to work some evenings and weekends; employee will work a regular schedule as well as be available for events/shifts with varying schedules • Motivated and motivating
