Purpose
To assist with Ofgem E-Serve’s statutory duties in administering the Renewable Electricity schemes. Specifically, the role will involve the review of applications against legislative requirements, with recommendations for eligibility made to senior management.
Alongside this core role, there are a number of associated administrative tasks including enquiry handling and process implementation. The role is located within the Renewable Electricity team, a busy, customer facing operations team.


Key outputs and deliverables
•    Provide recommendations to senior management on the eligibility installations seeking accreditation under the RE schemes;
•    Provide eligibility guidance to stakeholders on RE schemes;
•    Respond to stakeholder queries both on the phone and by email or letter
•    Act as a source of advice for internal and external stakeholders
•    Conduct reviews of applications for accreditation made under RE schemes
•    Utilise, test and help develop the IT system used to administer the scheme
•    Work on ad hoc projects as necessary

Key stakeholder relationships
•    External – FIT generators (commercial organisations, community organisations and domestic applicants); electricity suppliers; trade associations; other Government departments;
•    Internal – IT; development team; comm’s.

Key accountabilities
•    To conduct reviews of accreditation applications within a 10 working day key performance indicator (KPI) target and to make recommendations on eligibility as appropriate;
•    To provide accurate and reliable guidance to stakeholders within a 5 working day KPI target;
•    To follow documented procedures;
•    Accurate record-keeping and ensuring a robust audit trail of correspondence
•    Undertake robust user acceptance testing of IT systems;
