Salary: $72,590pa p.a.

Duties:

This position is primarily based at either Macquarie Island or Casey Station with several weeks at Head Office prior to departure and following return at the end of the season. The Remediation Officer will be required to participate in the 2012/13 summer field program for up to 4 months (from October 2012 to March 2012).

The Remediation Officer will provide support for the Remediation of Petroleum Contaminants project through provision of field and laboratory support, data generation, and data handling as part of the 2012/13 field program. The primary role of the Remediation Officer will be to assist with field sampling, monitoring and operation of remediation and activities. A secondary role will be to assist with laboratory work.
