USGBC is seeking candidates with superior customer service and interpersonal skills to join its Relationship Management team, which will work to initiate, coordinate and maintain strategic relationships with key industry organizations and partners to advance the USGBC's mission of market transformation.
The Relationship Management Team Members will be responsible for handling up to 30 to 100 of USGBC/GBCI’s major stakeholders and partners and be their main point of contact for services and questions.
Specific Responsibilities Include
- Provide comprehensive assistance to stakeholders including communications support, technical information and process assistance
- Knowledgably represent all aspects of USGBC/GBCI to deliver products and services to meet the needs of participants
- Understand stakeholder's processes to provide guidance to improve USGBC/GBCI programs and services
- Assist with the development and delivery of sales and communications packages tailored to specific stakeholder needs including case studies, membership info, educational opportunities, fact sheets and other information as requested
- Proactively guide stakeholders to stay on track with program milestones by providing weekly updates
- Keep internal organization on task to meet deadlines and follow-up on stakeholder requests
- Maintain currency of expertise by staying abreast of new and developing programs with USGBC/GBCI
- Assess needs and identify opportunities across the range of USGBC/GBCI offerings
- Provide/present new offerings/bundles as they become available
- Obtain feedback on our service, products etc.
- Get “feel of market trends” to assist future projections and coordinate with Marketing and Communications
- Provide weekly status reports to stakeholders
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Training Requirements/Preferences
- Bachelors degree in a related building industry, environmental policy/economics or sustainable business discipline (preferred)
- Solid technical understanding of LEED rating system (LEED AP with specialty preferred)
Experience Requirements
- Associate level roles require a minimum of two years relevant professional experience doing customer or professional service work
- Manager level roles require a minimum of four years relevant professional experience doing customer or professional service work
- Experience serving in technical consultative role (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience selling up within an organizational hierarchy (preferred)

- Foreign language skills not required, but preference for fluency in languages of Chinese (Mandarin), Spanish, or French
