Description
Here at the Environment Agency it is our vision and purpose to create a better place. One of the ways we do this is through our work to help prevent flooding. Obviously this is high profile work of a worthwhile nature, it is also incredibly varied. So when you join us you know that your skills will not only be put to good use, they will also be tested across a wide range of projects that demand innovative environmental solutions.

As a key part of our National Environmental Assessment Service (NEAS), your work will involve managing environmental risk, statutory Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), and Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) processes. You will ensure our growing programme of £multi-million flood and coastal works have minimal environmental impact, meet regulatory standards, maintain high quality design, and contribute to national and regional outcomes. You will do this by leading a dedicated team of environmental project managers and specialists working closely with integrated teams.

To do this role successfully you'll need experience in managing and developing a team of EIA or other environmental professionals as well as your own proven track record in the fields of EIA, SEA or related environmental management. You should possess project management skills, and be a strong influencer and communicator, capable of establishing strong relationships. With a degree in an environmental, earth science, planning or engineering discipline, and a passion for the environment, you'll be able to recruit, lead and motivate team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
