The Division of Wildlife Conservation is recruiting a Regional Supervisor for wildlife programs in Southeast Alaska (Region I). This position is located in the Douglas Regional Office and has oversight responsibility for wildlife research and management activities, including a staff of 24 professional, technical and administrative positions and four area offices located throughout the region. Responsibilities also include oversight of a two million dollar budget comprised from State, Federal and other funds. The Regional Supervisor serves as a member of the Division’s senior management team that determines program direction and sets policy for wildlife programs on a statewide basis and is a liaison to the Board of Game for developing and modifying hunting regulations that affect the region. The regional supervisor also works cooperatively with other State, Federal and non-profit organizations engaged in wildlife conservation activities within the region.
