My client is one of the leading global players in the wind industry in both a manufacturing and development capacity, with a very large market presence in both the onshore and offshore wind turbine market. They are currently looking for an exceptional individual to join their company as the new Regional Sales Manager to oversee the Eastern and Northern territories of the USA. This is an outstanding opportunity to join an internationally respected company with an excellent track record in the industry.

 

Position Overview:
My client is looking to recruit an outstanding Regional Sales Manager to qualify, develop and manage both new and existing relationships with utilities and investors. You will be responsible for business development activities and marketing strategies throughout the territory, whilst being involved in the entire sales operation from initial contact through to project development.

 

Responsibilities:-

  • ·         Report directly to the North American Director of Sales in a highly prestigious position at a world leading onshore/offshore wind company
  • ·         Develop new and existing opportunities to achieve sales targets
  • ·         Lead a team of negotiators, business developers and project developers on a variety of project negotiations across the North-East of the USA
  • ·         Present both risk assessment and contract documentation to support the growing business
  • ·         Proactively source new clientele and generate new revenue streams
  • ·         Set up local strategic partnerships with utilities, project developers and IPPs
  • ·         Develop and manage a pipeline that supports the company’s growth strategy throughout the territory
  • Open up new markets and sign major contracts
  • Identify market potential; initiate sales process; close sales; expand sales in new and existing accounts; contribute information to market strategy and recommend new products and services

 

Education:-

  • ·         Must have strong educational background with a degree in either business or marketing or Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

 

Core Requirements:-

  • 3 - 5 years sales or negotiations experience within the wind sector
  • ·         Experience of selling throughout the North/East of the USA
  • ·         Evidenced ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
  • ·         Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record
  • ·         Proven ability to motivate and manage other teams towards a common goal
  • ·         Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
  • ·         Ability to manage multiple projects
  • ·         Exceptional ability to deliver executive level presentations to directors and board members
  • ·         Excellent report writing ability

 

General Requirements:-

  • Ability to travel frequently to client sites
  • ·         Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies
