My client is one of the major players in the Wind market internationally with a strong focus and market presence in the wind industry. They have made a large impact in the onshore wind turbine industry and are currently looking to expand their sales teams in both the on and the offshore wind market. They are a internationally respected company and have large growth plans across the Asia Pacific region.

Position Overview:
My client is looking to recruit a senior sales manager to develop and manage relationships with utilities, developers and investors. You will be involved in the entire sales operation from initial contact through to project development and maintain a strong relationship with the customer through this process.

Responsibilities:-

  • ·         You will report directly to the Asia Pacific Director of sales in one of the most recognized wind companies in the world gaining market connections that will put you in an excellent position within the industry
  • ·         You will manage a pipeline of opportunities whilst maintaining excellent relationships with current and previous customers in order to ensure project opportunities in the future
  • ·         You will lead a team of negotiators, business developer and project developers working on a variety of project negotiations across Asia Pacific region
  • ·         You will lead negotiations in sales of wind turbines to developers in the area and work closely with the international team to best expand to company growth
  • ·         You will work on expanding the companies use on PSL’s with wind farm developers and other clients
  • ·         Negotiate terms and conditions with developers, with a full knowledge of the legal requirements within the Asian market.
  • ·         Will be expected to proactively source new clientele and generate new revenue streams
  • ·         Develop and set up local strategic partnerships with utilities, project developers, IPPs
  • ·         Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations for the renewable energy company
  • Open up new markets and sign major contracts
  • Identify market potential; initiate sales process; close sales; expand sales in new and existing accounts; contribute information to market strategy and recommend new products and services

Education:-

  • ·         Must have strong educational background and knowledge of the wind energy market

Core Requirements:-

  • You will have 5-7 years commercial or sales experience, with a proven track record in B2B negotaiations
  • You will have at least 2-3 years expereince in the wind industry both onshore and offshore
  • ·         Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements in the wind industry
  • ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
  • ·         Proven track record in wind business development and growth
  • ·         Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
  • ·         Ability to manage multiple projects
  • ·         A background in the technical element of wind development is a bonus
  • ·         Excellent report writing ability

General Requirements:-

  • Ability to travel frequently to client sites
  • ·         Proficient with making impactful presentations
  • ·         Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies

Key Skills:-

Wind Industry, negotiations experience, business development and sales of wind turbines or wind developments in Asian market, wind turbine manufacturer, developer, energy, management is a bonus and team leadership.
