My client is a huge global company who are fast becoming one of the largest OEM manufacturers of wind turbines in the world. They are aggressively expanding their portfolio across Europe, Asia and the US and are now looking for a Regional Sales Director to oversee all product sales throughout the central region of the US.


Core Criteria:
My client is
looking to recruit a director of sales to oversee all of central USA. This is an exceptional opportunity with a global giant, reporting directly to General Manager you will be key part of their rapid growth throughout the US market.

 

Responsibilities:-

 

  • ·         Develop and implement strategic sales plans, forecasts and performance goals to achieve corporate objectives for onshore turbine sales
  • ·         Develop and manage sales operating budgets.  Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements
  • ·         Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share
  • ·         Demonstrate ability to lead Sales team towards results
  • ·         Manage performance of sales management and representative organizations
  • ·         Oversee monthly sales forecasts and sales strategies for all of the central US area
  • ·         Review and analyze sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness
  • ·         Full authority to represent them in all matters relating to securing future orders for wind turbines in the US regions covered
  • ·         Establishing a long-term business platform in the US
  • ·         Overseeing the entire sales team for central USA
  • ·         Coordinate the senior sales team, managing the entire sales operations in your region
  • ·         You will oversee negotiations of terms and conditions with developers across the US
  • ·         Direct their turbine sales operation in the US and work closely with the international team to best expand my clients growth
  • ·         Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations for the wind energy company and that your team is performing within the framework of the company
  • ·         You will ensure that your team is developing and managing a pipeline across the US that supports the company’s growth strategy in large onshore wind turbine sales
  • ·         You will oversee the negotiations of long and complex bids and contract negotiations  that can span a 2+ years period of negotiations
  • ·         You will ensure that the senior sales managers are achieving their targets of securing multi million Dollar($) contracts

 

Education:-

Must have an exceptional educational background

 

Core Requirements:-

  • You will have at least 3 years of Senior/Director level sales experience, with a proven track record in the wind sector with one or more top tier OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers)
  • ·         You must have overseen large scale multi million Dollar($) turbine sales
  • ·         You must have a proven ability and temperament to work on long term contracts
  • ·         An excellent understanding of regulatory requirements in the wind industry in the US
  • ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
  • ·         Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization and work closely with other Director level managers in a large international company

 

General Requirements:-

  • Ability to travel
  • ·         Proficient with making impactful presentations and managing a team of high level employees
  • Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies

 

Key Skills:-

Onshore wind, sales of wind turbines, negotiations experience, business development, exceptional team leadership skills, experience with complex contact negotiations and complex stakeholder and customer management experience.
