Regional Programme Director, LEAD-Anglophone West Africa

Location: Nigeria

The Regional Programme Director is the Chief Executive of the LEAD Programme in Anglophone West Africa region and head of the regional secretariat responsible for the coordination and execution of the LEAD vision, mission, objectives, principles and code of conduct, governance, personnel, financial, capacity development, networking and project policies for the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • To implement and evaluate the LEAD-AWA training programme in collaboration with LEAD-Africa colleagues
  • Attract and ensure recruitment of high quality Associates and future leaders
  • Manage and grow active alumni network of LEAD-AWA Fellows
  • Serve as an articulate and effective spokesperson for LEAD
  • Manage financial responsibility to ensure long-term sustainability
  • Operate management systems and processes that will maximize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Active networking with other LEAD Member Programmes and initiatives around the world
  • Develop excellent relationships with other organizations and institutions whose mission and activities are compatible with those of LEAD

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Masters Degree
  • A minimum of 5 years cognative experience at management level
  • Versatility with issues of leadership, environment and sustainable development
  • Must be computer literate
  • Being a LEAD Fellow and an active member of the LEAD Network would be an advantage
