The Student Conservation Association (SCA), America’s #1 conservation service organization seeks a Regional Program Director of Young Adult Programs located in Arlington, VA.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversees program growth, quality, risk management and safety, and general operations of SCA’s Young Adult Programs within the Mid-Atlantic/Southeast/Midwest.
  • Develop and oversee regional Young Adult program budgets and achieve annual budget goals as prescribed in SCA annual plans.
  • Build internal and external relationships while working closely with interdepartmental regional staff to develop new programs and ensure the sustainability and growth of current programs.
  • Provides oversight of all young adult programs and internships in the field

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years progressively responsible program management experience required.  Young Adult program management and/or Diversity development experience highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree plus significant additional coursework, seminars or similar activities preferred.
  • Proven and effective staff management skills necessary
  • Demonstrated competence in planning, budgeting and collaboration required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills a must
  • Willing to travel 25% of time – mainly within region.
  • Valid driver’s license and MVR that meets SCA standards required.
  • Must meet SCA’s Criminal Background Check standards
  • Wilderness First Aid or other relevant medical training required
  • Must have access to cell phone for business purposes
