We seek a Regional Outreach Coordinator to achieve conservation victories by identifying, informing, and mobilizing key constituencies, including hunters and anglers, wildlife enthusiasts, and other community leaders around selected nationally significant advocacy campaigns in Austin, Texas. The Regional Outreach Coordinator will develop and implement strategic campaigns around National Wildlife Federation’s initiatives to combat global warming, safeguard wildlife, and get people outdoors. The immediate issues and engagement opportunities are regional efforts to restore and dedicate funds for restoring the Gulf Coast and engaging Hispanic leaders in NWF's priority campaigns. The Regional Outreach Coordinator also leads regional outreach efforts on federal legislative campaigns to limit carbon pollution, create clean energy projects, and connect children with the outdoors. This may include hiring and managing outreach consultants and staff. The Regional Outreach Coordinator will engage and collaborate with other organizations and partners to conduct advocacy, media, and online campaigns to influence public policy and decision makers; implementing earned media outreach efforts with newspapers, radio, television, and online. The Regional Outreach Coordinator will organize and conduct trainings, workshops and speak at events and conferences, he or she will report to the Regional Executive Director of the South Central Regional Center and the National Outreach Director, while being an integral part of a larger team that includes local affiliate leaders, regional and national staff.
