We seek a Regional Outreach Coordinator to help build a vibrant conservation movement with key constituencies, including NWF activists, hunters and anglers, conservationists, youth, and other community leaders including business, labor, and environmental justice leaders. The Regional Outreach Coordinator will facilitate campaign planning in collaboration with regional program staff and achieve conservation victories by educating, engaging, organizing and mobilizing hunters, anglers and wildlife enthusiasts around selected nationally significant advocacy campaigns. The Regional Outreach Coordinator will drive priority grassroots conservation campaigns and mobilization activities out of the Great Lakes Region implementing the National Wildlife Federation’s initiative to stop global warming by building and coordinating a coalition of hunters, anglers, conservationists and other stakeholders and activists in key states around passage of federal global warming legislation. The Regional Outreach Coordinator will develop and implement strategic advocacy campaigns with a cross organizational team around NWF's initiatives to combat global warming, safeguard wildlife, and get people outdoors. He or she will engage and collaborate with other organizations and partners to implement earned media outreach efforts with newspapers, radio, television, and online campaigns to influence public policy and decision makers; he or she will also organize and conduct trainings, workshops and speak at events, conferences and the media. The Regional Outreach Coordinator will report to the Director of the Great Lakes Resources Center and the National Outreach Director, while being an integral part of a larger team that includes local affiliate leaders, regional and national staff.
