The Position
The Regional Manager, Field Operations is responsible for the general operations for the PV Solar installations in Sungevity’s western region. The Regional Manager directs and manages a team of Technical Account Representatives who oversee Sungevity’s Sub-Contracted Preferred Installer Network (PIN), including approving the installer certification and training process and handling situations with installers when escalation is merited. The Regional Manager, Field Operations reports to the Director of Field Operations and works closely with the department heads in Supply Chain, Customer Care, Sales and Marketing to ensure successful operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, manage, and direct Technical Account Representatives in the management of solar PV system installations to meet KW install targets, quality, and safety standards.
  • Authorize the certification and training of network installers
  • Staff, direct, manage, and develop regional teams and personnel for existing and new locations in accordance with expansion plans
  • Ensure the company maintains a positive customer relationship, resolving concerns & complaints while providing excellent service
  • Coach, mentor, develop and manage Technical Account Representatives in multiple locations and markets to insure optimal performance and succession tracking


Requirements:
 

  • Five to ten years construction related experience
  • Proven team building and management experience
  • Ability to raise Customer Satisfaction and Construction Quality to hit Sungevity Customer Delight targets
  • Strong leadership, creative, and strategic planning skills
  • Confident personality with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Three to five years PV Solar industry experience in installation or design
  • Thorough knowledge of construction contracts & subcontracts
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and schedules within an annual operating plan
  • Proven leadership skills and capable of managing matrixed project teams in different locations
  • World class communication skills
  • Knowledge of major PV components (PV Modules, inverters and racking systems) and global suppliers preferred
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work successfully with business partners through the design, engineering and final installation of residential solar electric systems
  • Knowledge of NEC Code, Universal Building Code and building materials
  • Must be willing to travel within the Region to train and develop the team and oversee operations
