Description: The National Wild Turkey Federation is searching for a regional director to manage the territory in the Northern region of South Carolina. The chosen candidate will have to reside in the region or be willing to relocate to that area. This position is charged with planning, developing, implementing and maintaining a grassroots fundraising program designed to support our conservation mission and attract more people to conservation, hunting and other outdoor activities.
Duties: Work with existing chapter system to develop them to their greatest potential for fundraising and membership development. Grow existing territory by identifying new chapter targets and developing them into positive fund raising events. Assist existing chapters in planning volunteer recruitment activities that benefit the resource as well as the chapter. Act as liaison between chapters and national office on various issues. Work in development of all aspects of fundraising. Identify potential private and corporate partners that are interested in becoming major donor contributors. Ability to travel 30k to 40k miles per year to cover assigned territory. Some overnight and weekend travel is required. Ability to submit weekly activity reports to headquarters and budget accordingly.
Qualifications: Demonstrated leadership abilities Superb relationship building skills Excellent communication skills BS degree preferred or equivalent experience in Sales Experience using Microsoft Office, including strong Excel, Word, and Outlook skills. Prefer and individual with a passion for wildlife and/or nature. Must hold a valid driver's license
