Description: The National Wild Turkey Federation is searching for a Regional Director to manage a territory in Eastern Colorado/New Mexico. The chosen candidate will have to reside in the region or be willing to relocate to that area. This position is charged with planning, developing, implementing and maintaining a grassroots program designed to attract more people to conservation, turkey hunting and other outdoor activities.
Duties:
  • Work with existing chapter system to develop them to their greatest potential for fund raising and membership development
  • Assist existing chapters in planning all types of activities that benefit the resource as well as the chapter
  • Act as liaison between chapters and national office on various issues
  • Work in development of all aspects of fund-raising dinners
  • Assist in searching out and screening donations of all types from private and public entities
  • Identify private and corporate landowners that are interested in having wild turkey management plans developed on their property
  • Ability to travel 25k to 30k miles per year to cover assigned territory with a company provided vehicle. Some overnight and weekend travel is required
  • Ability to submit weekly activity reports to headquarters and budget accordingly
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Superb relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • BS degree preferred or equivalent experience in Sales
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including strong Excel, Word and Outlook skills
  • Prefer someone with a love for wildlife or nature
