BCI provide training on more sustainable farming practices to more than 2.3 million cotton farmers in 23 countries. In the 2018-19 cotton season, licensed BCI Farmers produced more than 5.6 million metric tonnes of ‘Better Cotton’ accounting for around 22% of global cotton production. The BCI Regional Coordinators are the local representative for BCI and the first point of contact in that country for any partner enquiries. They prepare Implementing Partners to work with the Better Cotton System, advise on and monitor their activities during implementation. They facilitate the relationship with ginners and learning between different partners; coordinate the National Stakeholder Council and support BCI membership growth in that country.
