Salary: £13k - 18k + benefit package

APEM Limited is Europe’s largest specialist aquatic science consultancy, offering our clients an integrated approach to every aspect of the scientific study and management of freshwater and marine habitats.  As APEM continues to grow the Head Office in Stockport is looking for a receptionist/administrator to act as the first point of contact for all inquiries.  As receptionist/administrator, you will be part of the Admin team, which provides essential support to the rest of the business, to enable APEM’s continued growth and success.

Duties will include:

Answering the telephone in a polite, friendly and professional manner, and managing the calls as necessary.  This will include screening cold calls as well as transferring the calls, taking messages.
Meeting and greeting clients and visitors on their arrival, ensuring security passes are provided and providing refreshments
Ensuring that the reception areas and meeting rooms are consistently maintained to a high standard
Responsible for all incoming and outgoing mail
Responsible for signing for incoming courier parcels, and also safe and timely delivery of outgoing courier parcels
Co-ordinating telephone conference calls via “webex”
Managing travel and accommodation requirements for the company
Co-ordinating conference bookings, and ensuring adequate stock levels of marketing and sales material
Co-ordinating recruitment interviews, and providing administrative support during the recruitment process as required
Manage the “recruitment inbox” and respond to emails as necessary
Providing additional administrative support as required, which will include (but is not limited to) maintaining the flexible working rota for the company, filing, ordering stationary, binding company reports.

The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be computer literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office products.  You will be organised, have a good eye for detail and able to handle a high volume of calls as well as managing a variety of other administrative tasks.  You will be an enthusiastic team player, with a positive attitude and be willing to learn.
