This recruiter offers a comprehensive range of consultancy and software services and products focused on environmental and marine science. It has more than 25 year’s experience in supporting the offshore oil and gas industry, and other industrial and commercial sectors, with chemical risk assessment, EIA, EMS and other consultancy services. The new EU REACH chemical legislation puts new requirements on both manufacturers and users of chemical substances.  The REACH team is expanding to meet this growing market and support clients in business impact assessment, preparation of registration dossiers and evaluation and summary of chemical test data.  This role is specifically focused on the human health impact assessment of substances as required by the REACH Regulations.
Candidates must:
- have either a detailed COSHH or human health exposure assessment background
- be numerate, and have good data analysis skills
- able to evaluate toxicity testing data and use this and other chemical and use pattern data to derive exposure assessments for substances.
The position will be located in its Aberdeen office and report directly to the REACH Team Leader.  The role will include:
- A general understanding of the REACH legislation, and more detailed knowledge of the human health assessment requirements
- Client liaison
- Discussions with client and client contacts to obtain required data
· Development and modelling of human health exposure scenarios
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have good time management skills, with appropriate technical knowledge and experience.  You will have experience in COSHH or human health exposure assessment and at least a basic understanding of the requirements of REACH.  The client will provide additional professional training and development as required, and operates a company-wide CPD programme.
