BALMACARA ESTATE, KYLE OF LOCHALSH, ROSS-SHIRE
Salary £17,379 (pro-rata)
Fixed-term for 12 months, 20 hours/ week
Accommodation may be available for rent

The National Trust for Scotland has an exciting opportunity for a committed countryside conservationist to contribute to the conservation management of the natural and cultural heritage of the 2,550 hectare Balmacara Estate, which has a wide range of habitats and species of national importance and includes some of the best crofting landscapes in the country as well as the historic village of Plockton.

To be successful in the role you will have a degree level or equivalent knowledge in countryside management, combined with significant experience in delivering a wide range of practical countryside management as a Ranger/Warden (or equivalent). You will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate these at a variety of levels through a range of media. You will also possess highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills and have experience of supervising others.
Please note that this post is located in a relatively remote rural environment.
