Job title: Public Engagement Coordinator Reporting to: Mobilisation Manager Location: Ultimo, Sydney Status: Permanent full-time Closing date: 5pm 10 Dec 2014 About the role: Working within the Program Department, the Public Engagement Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day development and care of community engagement. The Public Engagement Coordinator is responsible for creating experiences, mobilising people and supporting them to self-organise for Greenpeace. The Public Engagement Coordinator is responsible for community engagement and mobilisation around Greenpeace’s environmental objectives. It utilises social media, publications, community partnerships and events to achieve this. About us: For over 40 years, Greenpeace has been at the forefront of the world’s most pressing environmental issues. These issues are global in nature and so are their solutions. With offices in over 40 countries, we work with communities across the world to achieve large-scale change. Greenpeace Australia Pacific has a mandate to defend the rich, diverse and fragile environments in the Australia Pacific region. We investigate and expose environmental abuse, hold decision-makers accountable, promote effective solutions and inspire others to create positive change.
