About the roleWe are looking for a London-based Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager to join our growing and ambitious international communications function, which includes communications, political and campaigning specialists. Public affairs and campaigns play a key role supporting our work using the law to protect people and the planet. As lawyers and environmental experts fighting against climate change, we use a strategic approach to public affairs to influence government and politicians, and to drive change. This role will help build and deliver high impact public affairs strategies to meet our legal teams’ aims and objectives. You will need to think creatively and use the full suite of communications tools to influence a range of decision makers including government ministers, civil servants, MPs and local government officials. Meet your managerYou will be managed by Simon Alcock. Simon oversees our public affairs and political campaigns work across the organisation. Prior to joining ClientEarth in 2016, Simon worked as a political adviser to the former Labour leader Ed Miliband. Over ten years working in Westminster, Simon focused on a range of issues including the environment, energy and climate change. In this role your main duties will include:
