The Range Agrologist/Riparian Specialist is responsible for providing recommendations on stewardship and range practices on NCC projects across Alberta.  The position will report directly to the Manager, Science and Conservation Support but will work extensively with all NCC-Alberta staff. Externally, the Agrologist/Riparian specialist will work with local landowners, partner organizations, conservation volunteers, funders and others.

Using your proven interpersonal, field data acquisition, problem solving, and communication skills, you will provide collaborative extension services and deliver rangeland and riparian vegetation and health surveys and management recommendations, to NCC staff, partners, and landowners.

This will require knowledge in range and riparian health, native ecosystems, land management and ranch practices. You will also be required to work with other professionals involved in natural resource management to integrate sustainable uses on rangelands. The work involves extensive fieldwork, sometimes in remote areas.
