Protection Engineer

The Distribution Major Project Group, South is responsible for the ownership and maintenance of the 132kV distribution network and all major construction projects at 132kV and 33kV. Based at our Leeds office you will be involved in design and production of protection schemes at voltages ranging from 6.6kV to 132kV across the Southern Distribution network.

This will involve detailed design of protection schemes including the calculation of protection settings, approval of drawings and producing relay configuration for the commissioning engineers.

The post holder will work as part of a team and will be responsible for a number of separate projects at any one time, and ideally have previous experience of working within power system protection.
