About Us:The Zoological Society of London (ZSL), a charity founded in 1826, is a leading international conservation, science and education charity. ZSL’s mission is to promote and achieve the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats. This is realised by carrying out field conservation and research in over 50 countries around the world and through education and engagement at our two zoos, ZSL London Zoo and ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, inspiring people to take conservation action. Role Profile:You will be experienced in the realm of Protected Area Management, either as a practitioner or in delivering training, and with a passion for capacity building. Your goal will be to develop blended learning courses in Protected Area management, both on- and off-line, working in close collaboration with multiple stakeholders. Online components will be delivered via United for Wildlife’s online learning platform http://learn.unitedforwildlife.org/ and you will be excited at the prospect of harnessing this technology to reach a global audience. Based in London, the post-holder will sit within ZSL’s Conservation Programmes department and work closely with internal and external technical experts and stakeholders, as well as with external e-learning partner Avado, and the other United for Wildlife partners. International travel is required to meet with regional collaborators and define off-line activities.
