Following the recent approval of funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund for Water, Mills and Marshes, the Broads Authority on behalf of the Broads Landscape Partnership are seeking to recruit two project officers. The project officers will work closely with the Programme manager to help deliver the 38 projects which make up this fantastic landscape scale scheme.
Water, Mills and Marshes will help identify, preserve and improve the incredible heritage, environmental and archaeological assets within the Broads, it will provide opportunities for people to learn about them, contribute in practical ways to their upkeep and ensure access for future generations. It will also provide countless opportunities for thousands of people to connect with the unique landscape by deepening their understanding of how it came about.
The Role – Project Officer Salary £17,014 to £19,971 per annum 29.6 hours (4 days) per week 4.5 year fixed term
You will work closely with the Programme Manager, delivery team and project partners to help coordinate and deliver the projects within the scheme – everything from drainage mill restoration, archaeology and nature conservation work to event management, access improvements and community engagement.
You will have experience of successfully co-ordinating or managing community, heritage based and education projects and working effectively with a range of organisations. You will also be able to demonstrate an understanding of countryside access and interpretation issues and current natural and man-made heritage issues that are relevant to the scheme.
