This post assists the Senior Project Officer with the day-to-day management of Samphire Hoe to maintain the site as a safe and attractive place to visit.

Samphire Hoe is a unique country park, built from the construction spoil from the Channel Tunnel, with magnificent views of the white cliffs. Samphire Hoe is visited by 110,000 people a year and you will be working with a team of volunteer rangers on habitat and visitor management. Samphire Hoe is managed by the White Cliffs Countryside Project on behalf of Eurotunnel.

You will have a degree or equivalent qualification in an environment-related subject, or experience of countryside management work. You should be interested in wildlife with a friendly outgoing personality able to deal tactfully with the public.

You must possess a driving licence as you will be based at the Samphire Hoe office. You will be employed for an average of 2.5 days a week, two days one week and three days the following week. It is hoped to offer further hours later in the summer subject to the availability of funding.
