Job description:Under the responsibility of the Head of the SEIS and GMES Group, reporting to the SES Support Programme, the Project Officer - Technical Assistance GMES in-situ data, information and networking shall be responsible for implementing general project administration, organising events and managing project products and deliverables. The position will entail the following tasks: - Provide technical assistance to support the project to a high professional standard;
- Act as custodian and guardian of all the products and documents for the project, responsible for providing information on status;
- Control receipt, identification, storage (archiving) and dissemination of all project products;
- Record, store, and distribute all information on project issues and risks as well as maintaining logs;
- Arrange meetings and other events, in particular for stakeholders;
- Support administrative and financial procedures for reimbursement of expenses and payment of invoices;
- Maintain an on-line public and restricted access forum, including a document library for exchange of information
- Prepare templates and input for reports, drafting of correspondence and other documents;
- Contribute to overall project objectives by assisting to:
- Interactions with stakeholders;
- Coordination and communication across the work packages;
- Management of administrative and financial issues;
- Timely provision of deliverables and project reporting.
