The New Forest National Park Authority is responsible for conserving and enhancing the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of the New Forest and for promoting opportunities for the understanding and enjoyment of its special qualities by the public.

You will be a key part of a small team coordinating an innovative national pilot which seeks to engage stakeholders in developing a catchment vision and action plan for the waterbodies of the New Forest.

You will be responsible for enthusing and inspiring people to become involved with the project and share their views. You will be providing a central day-to-day point of contact for the project, helping to disseminate the outcomes of the pilot to national groups and leading the production of reports.

With a relevant qualification, you are familiar with the ecological aspects of the water environment, the regulatory regimes governing it and associated land management issues. You will be confident in working with a range of stakeholders, engaging them in supporting environmental outcomes and communicating technical information in an appropriate form.

Ideally you will have familiarity with the rural issues and land management practices of the New Forest and its surroundings.  You will posses good organisational skills and be proficient in engaging audiences through excellent written and verbal communication skills.
