The post holder will lead on the compliance and budget management of two projects part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) – Better Futures and the Local Energy Accelerator Programme. To ensure each projects’ operations, finances, outputs and outcomes are compliant with ERDF requirements, specification and operational standards; as well as all finances are properly reported, claimed, evidenced, invoiced and recorded.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and highly motivated person with a demonstrable track record in European funded projects (ideally ERDF) and a strong interest in the environment and energy agenda. You will have the ability to manage complex projects and motivate and align project partners and stakeholders. You will be a successful project officer with excellent written and oral communication skills, a well-informed and creative approach to problem-solving, strong budgeting skills, the ability to operate in a busy and complex political environment and experience of working collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
