The Woodland Trust has huge aspirations. Over the next 50 years we wish to see native woodland cover double which will mean the planting of 1million hectares of new native woodland. We have already created more than 5000 hectares of new native woodlands on our own land, but we need to do much more.

We have set ourselves ambitious targets to create new native woodland on land outside our ownership To do this we are looking at a number of innovative mechanisms which we will offer to the appropriate group of landowners. The MOREwoods project is the first example of this with other projects in the pipeline.

The Project Officer (Woodland Creation) will be part of the Woodland Creation Team which itself sits within the Woodland Operations Department of the Trust.
