Reference number: 700413 Location: Brighton The South East England Conservation team is looking for someone with a passion for wildlife and a clear commitment to work with farmers and landowners across the region. Pairing and enthusing trained RSPB volunteers with farmers, you will arrange 20 farms surveys per year, and will then collate and map the results. You will also provide direct conservation advice to farmers and landowners, and promote and administer our Nature of Farming Awards. All applicants should have a good understanding of farmland bird ecology, UK agricultural practice, and the use of GIS mapping systems. You will need to be a determined and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills. This varied and interesting post will involve on-site working throughout the South East. The successful candidate will need to be able to meet the travelling requirements of the role and full training will be provided.
