Project Manager

Organization: Coastal Alliance for Aquaculture Reform
Position: Full time, one year contract
Location: Metro Vancouver

The Coastal Alliance for Aquaculture Reform (CAAR) is seeking a full-time Project Manger to work with our dynamic team in overseeing several collaborative research projects being undertaken with a major salmon farm company. A background in science would be advantageous and an interest in environmental protection and general knowledge of salmon conservation issues would be an asset. Excellent project management and communication skills are required. The ability to work from your home office in the lower mainland will also be considered an asset.

Duties include:

• Ensuring progress on all collaborative projects on CAAR’s behalf.
• Developing timelines, workplans, tracking progress and managing budgets
• Liaising with CAAR, government scientists and company representatives on joint management of all project components.

• Excellent organization skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent multitasking abilities
• Self motivated, efficient, requiring minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills
• Budget management experience
• Science background an asset

Salary for this position commensurate with experience.

This is a one year contract with a review at 3 months and the possibility of renewal.
