About 10:10

10:10 brings people together to take high profile practical and positive action on climate change. We are a 100,000-strong community of people, schools, hospitals, shops, football clubs and everything in between, doing bold, brilliant stuff to cut carbon.

You may have seen our logo on the back of Ocado vans, five feet high in hospital windows, or on the hoardings at Tottenham Hotspur football matches. In our first three years we’ve cut 500k tonnes of carbonpersuaded the UK government to cut 14% of its central emissions, pioneered new campaigning technology, launched a crowdfunding platform for renewable energy and grown campaigns across the globe.

Now we’re developing our next round of programmes based on the large scale rollout of our high profile Solar Schools crowd funding platform, and we’re building the team needed to make it happen.

About the role

We are looking for an outstanding project manager to help develop and roll out our most exciting campaigns to date.

Working closely alongside our campaigns team, you’ll be responsible for planning the schedules, budgeting and logistics of current and future projects for the organisation within the strategic plan. It will be your job to know the who, what, when and how of our campaigns.

Getting right under the skin of a project will get you out of bed in the morning. You'll play a crucial part in strategy sessions, helping to think through the practical delivery of a programme from logistics to partnerships to launch criteria. You will work to identify the best way to make projects run smoothly; spotting where the likely sticking points are (and how to resolve them). You’ll enjoy big challenges, short deadlines and thinking on your feet to enable good ideas to become reality.

As part of a small and passionate team, you’ll be attending key meetings, helping pitch programmes to funders (as well as helping to develop the fundraising strategy) becoming a key advocate of our work at all levels. Through this role you will enable the smooth operation of successful campaigns operating at scale to tackle climate change in highly successful and challenging ways.

10:10 believes in developing our team, providing training and mentoring where appropriate, plus cake in almost all circumstances. You don’t necessarily need to come from a campaigning background, but you do need to care about our aims and the kinds of projects we run. 10:10 is an exciting place to work, if you’re a producer, project manager or fundraiser looking to get more involved in campaigning then we’d love to hear from you.

Duties

  • Developing project plans for our new campaigns.
  • Budgeting project costs and staff time against these projects.
  • Identifying and removing barriers in campaign delivery.
  • Taking active part in key strategy meetings, helping to work out the practical plans for delivering campaigns from launch to conclusion.
  • Identifying, writing and delivering project pitches and fundraising strategy alongside the executive director.

Essential attributes

  • Highly proficient and assertive project manager who can organise other people to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget.
  • Strong scheduling and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise amongst a range of deliverables.

  • Ability to identify the key aspects of a project and communicate this with funders and partners.

  • Strong interpersonal skills – working in a close-knit team in the office and in meetings with influential project partners and funders.

Desirable attributes

  • Knowledge of funding projects, including working with funders and the ability to write pitch documents.
  • Interest in environmental and community issues (we’re not necessarily looking for experts, it’s the interest and desire to work in this area that matters).
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or a similar sales / donor management system.
