Project Manager
Commercial Team
Wellington, Christchurch or Auckland

An exciting project management opportunity in energy efficiency.

The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) is a Crown Entity that works to improve New Zealanders' energy choices in business, in the home and on the road.

We are currently looking for a Project Manager to overcome the barriers to the uptake of energy efficiency in the Commercial sector. Specifically this will include planning and managing one or more programmes targeting the key barriers of Capability, Information and Funding.

In this role you will work closely with the business team's programme managers to develop sound business cases, develop good quality and detailed plans, identify and schedule tasks, milestones and accountabilities and project manage the delivery of outputs against the project plan. To do this you will maintain strong and effective communication with others, ensure best practice procurement processes are carried out, and outcomes from projects are monitored, measured, evaluated and reported on.

To be successful in this role you will be a highly effective communicator with experience in energy management in Commercial Buildings, a tertiary qualification in a related subject, experience with and knowledge of commercial building energy end-use technologies such as lighting, HVAC or refrigeration, a proven track record of successfully managing national scale projects along with a sound knowledge base in project management, experience in managing tendering processes and negotiation of contracts and proven experience in the effective management of budgets. Experience of managing projects relating to the design and fit out of new commercial buildings would be an advantage.

If you have an enthusiasm for promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy in New Zealand this is your chance to join a dynamic organisation working with a professional, dedicated and fun team. Join us and enjoy working alongside like-minded, motivated people progressing goals that will benefit all New Zealanders.
