Currently, IEP offers a broad range of services for its customers, both within the domestic and foreign markets. Also, IEP provides design, project management and construction for Iberdrola Group, in renewable energy, generation and T&D areas.
 
IEP currently has the following position available:
 
Project Manager.  This position can be located in Rochester or Binghamton, NY.  
 
Project Managers are responsible for the timely and efficient coordination and delivery of electrical lines and substations (30 to 345 kV) projects. T & D projects vary in size and complexity, resulting in the necessity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The Project Manager is required to lead a multi-discipline team through the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning phases of the project. It is an expectation that the Project Manager act as a role model and create and maintain leadership towards the project team with respect to overall management activities (including quality assurance, environmental compliance and safety) to achieve a quality project, while respecting the established budget and resources and planning objectives.
Qualifications

·         Strong verbal communication skills, fluency in English required.   Fluency in Spanish desired but not required. 
 
Experience/Training: 

·          At least 5 years of experience in electrical lines and/or substations projects with at least 2 years as a Project Manager.
·          Knowledge of the essential technical aspects in the design of electrical lines and/or substations (30 to 345 kV), in the disciplines of civil work, electrical, mechanical and control and protections.
·          Knowledge of the USA electrical utility market with regards to equipment and materials for lines and/or substations, including manufacturers and suppliers.
·          Knowledge of the regulatory aspects and legal requirements for a project of lines and/or substations in the state of New York.
·          Occasional travel may be necessary.
 
Required Education: 

·          BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
 
Certifications: 

·          PE License desired.
·          Project Management training/certification (i.e. PMP) is a plus.
