1. INBAR project field coordination - facilitate partner project implementation
Maintain regular contact with project partners and INBAR field project staff to chart progress against the program action plan and expected project results; Project partners are responsible for local implementation of the EC project, but the project manager is expected to provide guidance on EC guidelines and overall project requirements and ensure implementation of the programme to meet the interim and final project objectives.
Provide partners with oversight and feedback on collection of baseline data and monitoring and evaluation of project activities and ensure achievement of the indicators.
Collect quarterly reports from three project partners as inputs for internal reports to the INBAR team leader and external progress reports to EC.
Be responsible for budget management of the project with partners.
Be responsible for media and project visibility.
Conduct a minimum of two project field site visits with project partners per year.
2. Reporting
2.1 Internal reporting
Provide regular e-mail project updates to INBAR Team Leader (Director of CPP)
Produce Quarterly progress reports to INBAR Team Leader
Work with INBAR project staff to draft annual progress reports
2.2 External reporting
In coordination with INBAR’s project officers, oversee the reports and publications of quarterly project e-newsletters in Chinese and English
In coordination with project officer, establish and update an EC project website on a monthly basis
Develop a minimum of one sustainable production/consumption case study per year to share with the EC’s Switch Asia Network Facility
Produce Mid-term and final evaluation reports in English for EC
Produce other written project reports in English for the EC and INBAR as requested
In coordination with INBAR’s Networks and Partnership Unit (NPU), develop an impact studies for the EC project.
2.3. Financial Reporting
In Coordination with the INBAR finance department and the INBAR project accountant, provide oversight for INBAR budget allocations, project spending and timely collection of financial statements for both the EC project.
3. Fundraising
Maintain relations with EC and develop relationships with other donors to explore further funding opportunities for Sichuan and elsewhere
Identify potential new partners and funding agencies
Produce funding proposals as requested
4. Carry out other activities as agreed with supervisor
Required expertise:
Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in related disciplines.
Minimum 5 years experience in management and implementation for international projects.
Experience working with governmental agencies and SMEs.
Knowledge on environmental, poverty and employment issues.
Working languages of Chinese and English required.
