My client is a leading integrator of residential and commercial scale solar PV plants in the Middle East. My client is a firm believer in the production of solar PV plants with the highest yield providing efficient alternative energy solutions. They are currently looking for a project manager with extensive experience in working on multi-MW projects to join their very successful organization.
Position Overview:
My client is looking for an experienced project manager who has a proven background in managing both the commercial and technical aspects involved in the development of large scale PV power plants. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a lead position within an already well established player in the market with a view to gain international exposure in the European Markets in the future.
Responsibilities:
- · Responsible for the origination, development and sales of international large scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects up to financial close in Italy
- · Identify, assess and create project development opportunities in Italy
- · Conduct market analysis and feasibility and risk assessment studies on a daily basis
- · Negotiation and acquisition of lease agreements and securing grid connections and building permits
- · Proactively sourcing new investors and projects to grow the business
- · Will be managing multiple projects simultaneously to strict deadlines and to above satisfactory standards
- · Assessing profitability of projects and successful development including the preparation of land for construction
- · Project negotiations (with diverse project partners such as local developers, IPPs or utilities)
- · Defining and controlling budgets
- · Develop and set up local strategic partnerships with utilities, project developers, IPPs
Education:
- · Degree in electrical engineering, civil engineering or equivalent qualification of relevance
Core Requirements:
- · Minimum 3-5 years experience, with a proven track record in the development and management of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects
- · Exposure to international markets
- · Excellent commercial experience
- · Excellent oral and written communications skills
- · Project and time management skills
General Requirements:
- · Must be willing to relocate to Saudi Arabia
- · Exposure to the Middle Eastern market is preferable
- Must have excellent (spoken, written and reading) English skills
