Project Manager for new energy solutions based on biomass utilisation

Join us and become Project Manager in our department Project Execution working with a team of committed project managers and specialists. You will be joining a team of pioneers working within the development and commercialisation of technology for biomass and waste utilisation in Europe, North America, Brazil and Asia.

The Project Execution department is part of the recently established business area New Bio Solutions. We focus on the development of technologies to treat and use biomass and waste for energy purposes. Our work comprises three promising technologies within the fields of bio-refining and waste to energy, and we are at the forefront of international development in terms of reducing the environmental impact and CO₂ emission.

You will be based at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia. You should, however, expect some business travelling in Denmark and abroad in relation to your work.

Areas of responsibility

You will manage the execution of customer projects and help us to further develop our expertise in biomass and waste utilisation. As Project Manager, you will perform cross-disciplinary work, manage external projects and solve tasks across a large organisation. You will cooperate with both internal and external stakeholders.

It is essential that you are able to draw on a strong technical understanding of the different technologies as you will be focusing on both sales back-up and project execution.

Your project execution tasks will include all technical, commercial and legal issues. In relation to that, you will cooperate with specialists within a wide variety of fields. Your project work will generally be based on licensing and cooperating with strategic plant-supply partners.

Some of your primary tasks will be to identify, customise, specify and, if necessary, develop and design components and component systems. Additionally, you will specify new supplies and features to support an increased overall value creation of the biomass utilisation.

Furthermore, your key duties will be to:

• provide back-up to sales, including negotiating with customers and preparing proposals
• coordinate the execution of pre-design and front-end engineering design packages as well as manage project implementation
• plan projects and supplies with customers, including performing scheduling and solving financial matters
• participate in dialogues with partners and suppliers
• participate in the continuous development of our technologies.

Your profile

You will have a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent, combined with commercial experience.

In addition to that, you will probably also be able to draw on experience with feasibility studies and project execution gained during your education or from your previous work.

As we are an international company and operate both in Denmark and abroad, it is essential that you have strong communication skills and both speak and write English fluently.

You will have an analytical approach to your work and be able to transfer your professional knowledge to precise written requirements, proposed solutions and risk assessments.

You will have an open-minded and positive approach to your colleagues and other stakeholders combined with the ability to negotiate at all organisational levels.
