Project Manager – Renewable Energy, Contract Agent

Under the responsibility of the Head of Energy and Transport Group, reporting to the Head of the Air and Climate Change Programme, the Project Manager shall be responsible for renewable energy data reporting and policy analysis.

The position will entail the following tasks:

• Characterizing different renewable energy sources in terms of technical potential, environmental impact of exploitation, cost of energy, effectiveness of promotion policies, etc.;  
• Providing assessments of renewable energy trends and of impacts on human health and the environment. This includes inter alia tracking progress towards achieving renewable energy targets and evaluation of renewable energy policies and measures;
• Providing input on renewable energy into other EEA assessment products e.g. in the areas of climate, energy, transport, marine, land use, etc.;
• Networking and communicating the results of renewable energy assessments to relevant audiences, including European Commission services and working groups, EEA member countries, expert and research communities and the media.
