Care to join us? Department Are you ready to manage aero-structure research projects that will revolutionize modern wind energy? The Aero-Mechanical function of Vestas Global Research is responsible for the acquisition, development and exploitation of wind turbine technology in the fields of Aerodynamics, Materials, Controls, Structures and Mechanical systems. Responsibilities and Tasks You have experience, you have drive, and you have vision. The project manager role will require outstanding management skills dealing with a portfolio of complex projects. Your co-workers are international research specialists, researchers at universities, engineers and technicians throughout Vestas at multiple sites. You need to bolt this complexity into success. You main responsibilities are: • Project delivery - Co-ordination and successful implantation • Budget and schedule control • Ensuring efficient exchange of know-how • Lead the most promising ideas into successful demonstrations Qualifications and Work Experience 5+ years experience from a research or product development environment in a relevant field, such as: wind turbines, aeronautics, maritime industry, off-shore technology or similar. You are backed by excellent team leadership skills and good technical qualifications. You have proved your project management skills and can lead through others in a global environment. Your technical background is in complex structures or control systems related to wind turbines, aircraft, automotive or similar related area. You hold a MSc. Degree or higher You may in addition have some of the following technical qualifications: • Wind turbine certification • Experience with the development tools Pro-E, Flex5, Bladed or HAWC • Experience in working with fluid dynamics and CFD • Experience in controls and sensor technology What we offer A chance to develop leading edge technology within a global network linked to world class research and development institutions. Additional Information Primary work location will be in Isle of Wight, UK, Roskilde, Denmark. Travelling will be necessary.
