Would you like to have a pivotal role in protecting Surrey’s wildlife and landscapes for future generations? 

Surrey Biodiversity Information Centre has an exciting new role available for a committed individual, with a passion for biological recording, to support the development of the record centre to the next level.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering key projects, in particular achieving Association of Local Environmental Records Centres (ALERC) accreditation, as well as supporting the development and implementation of the business plan.

Biological records lie at the heart of nature conservation and this post offers the successful applicant an opportunity to play a critical role in the development of Surrey Biodiversity Information Centre and make a real contribution to conserving the biodiversity of Surrey for future generations.

A relevant environmental qualification is essential together with a professional background in nature conservation plus knowledge and experience of the work of a local environmental records centre. You should also be able to demonstrate an ability to work systematically and with thorough attention to detail. Experience of the Recorder Species Database or MapInfo Geographical Information System (GIS) would be an advantage.
