Det Norske Veritas is accredited by UNFCCC to carry out validation/verification services under Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) to reduce emissions of Green House Gases. DNV has specialized in delivering independent, third party services for climate change activities, and has over the past few years been engaged in a number of CDM validation, verification, and certification activities. As the validator or verifier of more than 500 greenhouse gas mitigation projects worldwide, DNV is one of the world’s leading service providers for CDM projects. As a result of our expanding business, we are now looking for additional capacity within our core team in India.

Department Marketing Statement

We are looking for Project Managers - Climate Change Services
We need to expand our Climate Change Services team in India to meet the demand for our services. We are seeking engineers/senior engineers, who will be involved as project managers and or experts in the validation or verification of CDM projects in South Asia.

Major Duties

Job Description
•Carrying out of assessments in one or more programs/areas e.g. CDM/JI, VCS, Gold Standard, baseline/inventory verification etc.
•Preparation of final validation and verification reports for the aforementioned program projects
•Communication with clients and authorities
•Marketing/Sales/ Training of CDM related services.

Qualifications

Desired Profile
•A degree in Chemical/Process/ Environment Engineering from a reputed Institution OR a M. Sc. Environment / Energy is a pre-requisite.
•In addition to analytical skills, atleast four years of professional experience required, preferably within the energy / power sector
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
•We will also value high capacity for work, multitasking and team orientation and the ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
•Willingness to travel
Added Advantage
•Knowledge of Kyoto Protocol and Clean Development Mechanism
•QMS/EMS Lead Assessor Qualifications.
•Previous audit experience.
•BEE qualified energy auditor
