The Project Manager Stepping Out will coordinate, deliver, publicise and expand the operation which offers regular walks to Carers and those they care for in different parts of the country.

This role is part of the Delivery & Development Division (Walks Team). This role can be based from one of our three offices in London, Edinburgh or Wales or suitable for a Home worker

This is an exciting time to join the Ramblers team and a great opportunity to make a lasting and tangible impact on the future success of the charity.

Essential Requirements include:

  • Independent organisational ability to plan and deliver walks alongside Ramblers groups, carers organisations, carers and those they care for and other key stakeholders.
  • Ability and experience to run the media operation across all platforms to inform participants, publicise the project and attract sponsors.
  • Track record in the marketing and fund-raising for major national project.
  • Decision-making, communication and relationship-managing skills to deal with the wide-ranging elements within the project.
  • Record-keeping and budget management skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience within the social care sector highly desirable.
  • Interest in/knowledge of walking or engaging people with the outdoors
